• Student group organizers and leaders are entitled to a free summer-long pass – saving £7 per tour… try us out in advance and come on a free tour for yourself!
• You can book a tour on any day of the week except Fridays and Saturdays – giving you the flexibility you need to expand the cultural horizons of your students and provide them with a well balanced entertainment package.
• All your students get the special summer 2008 rate of only £5.00 per person that’s £1.50 off the standards ticket price for each student. – To qualify your college has to agree that at least 100 students will join the tour during your summer season. If you agree make sure you get in contact now – to qualify the student must carry some form of id from thier SCHOOL.
• Now we can take bookings over the phone and even sort out the billing – with our new online PayPalUk payment systems you can be assured safe transactions at the click of a mouse.

He has lived in a 16h century house in nearby Harbledown, which he shares with the ghosts of Victorian children. John saw his first ghost at 13, but did not begin actual phantom sleuthing until 1991.
“Canterbury is one of the most haunted places in England’! There are apparitions all over the city,” he says. “The Romans left their mark, then in the Reformation, monks and clergy were slaughtered cruelly, as were witches, and finally the Civil War brought more bloodshed. The most interesting ghost I’ve been investigating is Simon of Sudbury, Archbishop of Canterbury, who appears in Sudbury Tower, in Pound Lane. There are lots of child ghosts, who will play with your coat or jacket as you get close to them. I’ve had more than 16 paranormal experiences, not all ghosts, some poltergeists, some merely psychic feelings.”
Having a responsible tour guide and being part of a group, means you’ll be safe from disturbing experiences; while John believes that you should never treat the supernatural lightly “Using a Ouija board can be extremely dangerous. I recently investigated a case in a 300- year-old Canterbury building where a group of medical students had a terrifying experience after doing so. After research, I concluded that the trouble was caused by a young woman who had committed suicide there in 1873.” John stresses that most ghosts are neither harmful nor malicious. Many in Canterbury are apparently, more scared of being seen than we are at seeing them!
I love the diversity of Canterbury, enjoy seeing the groups of foreign tourists and am always fascinated by the history that oozes from every pore. You’re intoxicated by the feeling that so much has happened here. The city bristles with the voices of the past. On a quiet summer’s evening you can hear the voices of past residents walking alongside you – absolutely idyllic.”

The Parrot, in St Radigunds Street Canterbury is the chosen venue for The Canterbury meal experience...
Fine food has been served in this mediaeval hall since 1320. Although some of the original ingredients have changed the elegant ambience remains. As you sit you will feel the souls of the past brush by your side as they make their way to long forgotten tables, to views of a city that has changed beyond recognition. The food though is just as sumptuous as it was when Bishops and chaplains dined here. With an award wining range of wines and beers to accompany your evening meal, there will be ample opportunity to sample a full range of dishes from a light smoked haddock kedgeree, to a succulent Kentish lamb fillet with fresh minted sauce, and crushed new potatoes. The menu can be varied to accommodate dietary requirements and allergies. What ever your heart desires can be yours – but we need a little notice: 14 days in advance for all reservations Contact the Ghost Hunter for more details…
